Hosted by Microsoft, the OECD Development Centre is organizing a roundtable to discuss the implications of the formalization of the care economy for Southeast Asian societies, and the role that non-state actors can play, using the findings of the SIGI 2024 regional report for Southeast Asia.

  • WHAT DOES THE SIGI REPORT REVEAL? We'll take stock of the landscape of discriminatory social institutions that impede women's rights and opportunities in the region, and explore why harnessing the care economy is important for Southeast Asia.
  • HOW CAN FOUNDATIONS AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR ACCELERATE CHANGE? The session will share information on initiatives by foundations and private sector companies linked to the care economy, and how they can help to effectively harness the care sector in the region and tackle gender inequality.

A very interesting panel that shows how the public and private sectors are linked. Arborus has many examples to share, notably with GEEIS SDG'sTrophees actions. Bathylle Missika was a member of the last 2023 edition. Thank you for inviting us to this event.
